Hello My Name Is...
It is my pleasure to introduce myself as the new principal of the Western Wayne Skill Center. I began my teaching career at the Skill Center several years ago and I am very excited to be back. I am looking forward to getting to know our students and their families. Through collaboration, I am confident that we can create meaningful programming for all of our students designed to prepare them for adulthood. Collaboration is essential for personal and program growth and I look forward to working closely with students, their families, and the WWSC staff to achieve great things.
On my first day as principal, the staff welcomed me warmly and I was very impressed by the number of students who came up to me, shook my hand, and introduced themselves to me. It is clear that teachers, para educators, and families have done an excellent job instilling proper social skills in our students.
During our first assembly together, I was presented with a beautiful photo book consisting of each student’s picture, name, and fun facts about them. This book will help me get to know our students and I am grateful for this precious gift.
I want to thank everyone for making me feel so welcome! I look forward to meeting more students and their families too.
