Western Wayne Skill Center

The Western Wayne Skill Center is a Work Skills Program designed for students with cognitive impairments who reside in one of our sending districts in Western Wayne County. We provide a full day of instruction for students with Moderate Cognitive Impairments who have completed 12th grade. Students ages range from 18 to 26. Instruction is provided through a wide variety of class options which will prepare students to be successful in employment, family life, and in their role as a citizen of their communities.

Western Wayne Skill Center Tours

Tours of the Western Wayne Skill Center are scheduled one Tuesday each month at 9:00 AM from September until May. Anyone who is interested in seeing the Western Wayne Skill Center before initiating a referral or before making a final decision about enrollment at the Skill Center is welcome to come for one of our monthly tours. The schedule for tours can be found by clicking hereWe can accommodate up to 20 people for each tour so we ask that families limit themselves to 3 people. Reservations can be made by calling our main office at 734.744.2810 at least one week before the scheduled tour. 

Please note: Tours in February, March and April fill up quickly. It is recommended that if placement at the Western Wayne Skill Center is being considered for the fall, reservations should be made as early as possible in the school year.
