Transition Lessons 2009-2010:

November- Transition Goals Reminder List
                     
Students used their Transition Plans to develop a reminder list of daily living skills that 
                     they would practice at home.

December- Student Advocacy
                     
Students practiced self-advocacy skills through discussion and role play.

January- IEP Process and You
                     
Students will identify their advocates and practice introducing IEP Team members.

March - Agencies and You
                     
Students will become familiar with a Community Agency and the services offered by 
                    the agency.
                     
April - Planning for Your Summer
                    Students will identify favorite recreational and leisure activities and the availability of 
                    the recreational and leisure activities in their community.
                    

May - Summer Volunteer Committment
                    
Students will investigate summer opportunities for volunteer activities in their 
                   community.
